How-to Videos for NC Cardinal

What is NC Cardinal?

BCPLS has joined the growing NC Cardinal consortium of over 50 other library systems to offer you over 7 million more items to borrow and share! NC Cardinal is a growing consortium of public libraries in North Carolina dedicated to sharing resources and expanding opportunities through the use of a single online catalog.
It is a program of the State Library of North Carolina, supported by grant funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Federal Library Services and Technology Act.

What does this mean for you?

You now have access to a new catalog system that is easier to use and has lots of cool options. Don't worry, we will provide some training videos here, and staff will be glad to walk you through the new steps. Also, being a part of the NC Cardinal Consortium means that your library card is good at any of the consortium libraries! Take your card with you as you travel and use it just like you would here!

Note: Resource sharing with other libraries in the system will begin July 1st. So while you can see what print items they have, you can't get them here until then. More details on this coming soon!
