What is NC Cardinal?

NC Cardinal is a growing consortium of over 50 public library systems in North Carolina dedicated to sharing resources and expanding opportunities through the use of a single online catalog. The consortium offers you FREE access to over 7 million more books, DVDs, and audiobooks than we have on our shelves here in Burke County. It is a program of the State Library of North Carolina, supported by grant funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Federal Library Services and Technology Act.

Try out the online catalog to see all the features (like email alerts and auto-renewals), and take a look at the items you can get delivered to your home library!

Have questions or having trouble? Watch the videos below, stop by the circulation desk, or give us a call and we can help you learn how to navigate the system.
